This guide will walk you through the various ways you can earn and spend credits, ensuring that you're always in control of your balance.

In this article:

Getting credits

Your Mobiz credit balance can grow through two main sources:

  • Recurring payments: These credits are provided with your monthly or yearly subscription. You can choose the amount you wish to purchase when selecting your plan.

  • Top-up credits: If your recurring credits are insufficient, you can buy additional credits as needed, allowing for flexible spending.

Spending credits

Credits can be spent in various ways, so it's helpful to understand all the possibilities:

  • Campaign messages: Credits are used for each campaign message sent. Note: Costs will increase for multi-part messages based on their size.

  • Campaign test messages: Before launching a campaign, you can send test messages, which cost the same as regular campaign messages.

  • Incoming messages: When customers reply to your messages, each incoming message deducts one credit from your balance.

  • Direct messages to contacts: Sending direct messages from your inbox will incur a related credit charge.

  • Welcome messages: If you use our growth tools, a welcome message is sent each time a client texts a keyword, at the same rate as a standard campaign message. A welcome message can also be sent if you've opted to do so in your compliance settings for new contacts.

  • Contact verification messages: If you've set your compliance settings to send confirmation messages to new contacts, these messages will cost the same as any outgoing message.

  • Automated sender responses: Automated responses, such as opt-out confirmations or replies to 'START' and 'HELP' requests, also incur charges.

Note: If you're ever overcharged, we will refund the difference.

Additional information

  • Expired credits: Credits come with an expiration date. Unused credits after this date will no longer be available.

  • Balance corrections: Occasionally, adjustments may be made to your balance, which can be positive or negative, especially if you manage multiple accounts and transfer credits between them. These corrections are handled as a separate category.

By keeping track of how your credits flow in and out, you can better manage your budget and ensure that you always have enough credits for your campaigns. If you have any questions or need further assistance, our support team is here to help.
