Personalization

Q: What is personalization?

A: Personalization allows you to add customer-specific, dynamic content to your campaigns. Include customer details such as first name, customer ID, location, or any other columns contained within your database.

Q: What types of personalization are available?

A: There are two categories of personalization, namely SMS copy personalization and landing page personalization. Both categories use your customer database entries to dynamically pull customer details into your SMS or landing page.

To illustrate, we've included two examples below:

  • Example 1: SMS copy personalization.

Address your customer by name within the SMS copy. For example, "Hi {{First Name}}, Get 50% off the latest fashion just for you! {{LINK}}."

  • Example 2: Landing page personalization.

Include your customer's name on the landing page. As shown in the image below.


Conditional personalization

Q: What is conditional personlization and how are they used?

A: Conditional personalization is used to control who sees specific content within the template. These can be based on market segments, such as gender, age, or income bracket, and are pulled directly from the column headers and data within your customer list.

This allows you to dynamically serve each customer category with different content based on their data in your database. You can learn more about conditions here.

Q: Am I limited to the number of conditions used per template?

A: Conditional personalization is unlimited provided that the information is listed in your customer database.

Q: What is the difference between personalization and conditional personalization?

A: Personalization allows you to add customer data to your SMS or landing page template as part of your content. Conditional personalization allow you to show specific content to particular users in your database depending on the targeted data.
