With Mobiz conditional personalization, you are able to send different content to different customers within a single campaign. This unique feature increases your content relevance by crafting unique experiences on a per-customer level. In turn, this builds stronger customer relationships, increases open rates and improves engagement and conversion rates.
For example, your campaign can:
Show different offers based on your customer’s location.
Display different product images based on your customer's date of birth.
Display promotional information only to recipients who have explicitly provided their consent.
Segmenting your database for conditioning
In order to use conditions, you must have your database segmented correctly. The more data columns you have for your contacts, the more you’ll be able to personalize your content. Learn how to create custom columns and upload new contacts.
Getting started with Conditional personalization
Once you have selected your template, you can start creating, editing, and conditioning your landing page content.
To apply a condition to an existing element, select an element and drag and drop it to your campaign. Then, select the element you want to add a condition to and select the eye symbol on the left of the element.
Top tip: Add in all of your content before conditioning. For example, add two images and then apply the conditioning to each. This way you can easily identify which image is shown to which audience.
Applying multiple conditions
There are two levels of conditioning, And and Or. You can use them individually or in conjunction with each other.
And allows you to apply multiple sets of criteria to your element. This is a more strict conditioning and means that an element will only show if a contact meets ALL the specified criteria.
Or allows you to define different criteria within one condition. This is a broader condition set and means that if a contact satisfies ANY of the specified criteria, the element will show for them.
Using Default values with conditions
Default values are fallbacks should a contact in your audience not have database information in your chosen personalization field(s). These Default values are used as fallback values for Personalization tags and will be treated like normal contact data in conditional personalization.
Testing your conditions
To ensure you have set up your conditioning correctly, you can test them using the contacts in your audience. Viewing your campaign as individual audience members should give you a good idea of whether your conditioning is set up correctly. You would need to have selected an audience to use this feature.
To turn this feature on, switch the Preview mode toggle on. You will then be able to select contacts from your audience to see how your conditions will apply when the campaign is received by the chosen contact.
After finalizing your design and content, adding personalization tags, and applying and previewing your conditions, you can click Next to continue building your campaign and craft your SMS copy.
