Creating automations in Mobiz can help streamline your marketing efforts and enhance customer engagement. Follow this guide to set up an automation using an API trigger.
Log in to Mobiz and navigate to automations
Head to https://app.mobiz.co/ and login with your credentials
Use the main navigation and click on Automations
Create your automation
Select New automation
Rename your automation in the top left hand side of the banner bar.
Generate and save your API details
Select API from the dropdown in the trigger settings
Generate your Client ID and Client Secret for your API trigger. Save these details to use when generating an authorization token.
Save the displayed URL, as you will use it to send the API request that triggers the automation.
Configure your message
Set up the message that will be sent when the API trigger is activated.
Use personalization fields to customize the message for each recipient. Fields like {{first_name}}, {{last_name}}, or {{City}} can be dynamically filled with subscriber data.
You can add images to your message by selecting the insert images button within the text editor field.
Adding images to your messages enhances engagement, recall, and communication by making messages more visually appealing and memorable.
Test your automation
Use the Send test message to test your automation. NB : the defaults for your personalization fields will be used in your test message.
Enable your automation
Once you are satisfied with your automation, use the toggle to enable your automation in the top right hand corner.
Your automation is now live and can be triggered by any API requests that are configured.
View analytics of your automation
Understand how your messages are performing and the delivery status of each message by visiting the analytics of your automation by navigating to the specific automation and selecting the graph icon in the table on the right.

Personalization: Use dynamic fields to personalize messages with subscriber names, location, preferences, or other relevant data.
Timing: Test different times and frequencies for sending messages to determine what works best for your audience.
Segmentation: Create different automations for different segments of your audience to deliver more targeted and relevant messages.
